Self-introduction:

I have a passion for being with kids and teaching them through fun learning. I\'m constantly seeking improvment in my teaching, because I believe that teaching is flexible, and adapted based on kids learning needs.

  • Time Period : 2019/06 - 2020/01
  • Job Title : English Teacher
  • Company Name : Joyful studies
  • Work Experience:
  • I have gained a solid experience in teaching young learners in early childhood field. My very early stages of experience dates back in 2013, and let me be honest with you, I wasn\'t that good. I have seeked knowledge from various platforms be it online, my colleagues, books. But my best resource and reference has always been kids. The quality time I have spent with my students inspired me to look at what interests them most, what makes them laugh, what grabs their attention. This is called observation. I developed a passion for just being with kids. Then teaching came naturally.
If you come across Child Development books, you will conclude that children learn through play, and by doing. This later, I combined in my own method of teaching. In other words, I use educational games indoor and outdoor, practice the English language by doing a specific task with its specific vocabularies, so that the kids can connect the language with the things they\'re doing at hand. Nursery rhymes and songs are important in getting familiar with the language structure. Story telling helps to remember vocabularies. Building a strong relationship with my own students is so crucial. My favorite quote from TED TALK Education: “children don’t learn from teachers they don’t like”. So, no matter how good a teacher is, if you are distant from your students then all their learning will go to waste. To sum up, my philosophy of teaching is simple; have passion and resilience in what you are doing and build connection with your students .
