My role is two-fold: to deliver lectures and tutorials in Oral English to enhance the communication skills of students who are studying undergraduate courses at the College and to prepare these students for overseas secondments, with companies such as Disney Corporation and Costa Cruise Line. I also deliver lectures and workshops to students to raise their awareness of the cultural differences in the host country of their secondments, so they are suitably prepared for their placement year. I also had the opportunity to teach faculty staff, the content of the class included understanding cultural differences and teaching and education in the UK versus China.
