I act as the primary point of contact for all field operations and security matters. Responsible for coordination of all operational tasks of the HUB, including assessment of the overall security situation in the Mission area in close coordination with the Regional Security Officer and team manegement. Coordination with the Head Office responding to all incidents and emergency/crisis situations as necessary by providing immediate response and coordinating actions and emergency response team. Responsible for updating security maps, secure network, GSM blind spots, hazardous areas, satellite communications systems and HF and VHF systems and maintaining supervision of Duty office. Managing team tasks, supervision and guidance of the team in patrolling, movement plans and transportation means. Maintain incident log books, incident reports and registering all incoming information. Ensured crisis and emergency procedures and SOPs are established and adhered to.
Liaise with law enforcement agencies, monitor and follow up on access to justice, rule of Law, security and safety implications and connections to the Mission mandate. Monitor and report on human rights issues, gender based and domestic violence cases. I provide essential information and advice and delivery of training to new members of the team. Analysis and assessment of operational, safety and security issues and trends affecting the operating environment, monitoring general/specific security situation through meetings with law enforcement representatives. Monitoring and reporting on criminal and administrative court hearings and public prosecution cases and hearings, monitoring and reporting on protests, riots and public gatherings.
