From my first position as veterinary assistant I was involved in teaching students.
When identifying the lack of
education available to under-privileged children in post apartheid
South Africa, I founded and managed a non
profitable pre-school from private funds and trained women in the community to fill the need. During my time as
Financial Manager, I took it upon me formally training staff under my supervision. I was involved in teaching women
in the community and correctional facilities arts and crafts to enhance their income and quality of life. As a teacher
with varied experience, I have much offer to the education of our young children. Although I value discipline highly,
my strongest trait is compassion. I am confident that my passion for people, together with my skills and expertise as
a teacher will enable me to make a significant difference.
