  • I\'m a licensed professional teacher from Manila, Philippines with outstanding academic background and 15 years of teaching experience in top institutions in my home country.

    I\'m currently employed as a Biology teacher in Suzhou North America High School, Suzhou City, Jiangsu Province, China. I teach Biology, Earth Science, Research to middle and high school students. I also bring 5 years of mentoring and leadership experience as the Science department head.

    I earned my master\'s degree in Biological Sciences, with honors, from the University of Santo Tomas in 2015. I received bachelor\'s degree in Biology and certification in professional education from the leading university of my country, the University of the Philippines.

    My teaching experience has a reputation for student-centered learning, fun-filled scientific activities, development of problem solvers and critical thinkers, multimedia instruction, varied strategies and excellent classroom and laboratory management.

    Many consider me as one of the best trainers/coaches in Biology and Science Competitions in the Philippines. My students have won & participated numerous Science contests locally and internationally (e.g. IBO 2019 and IESO 2011).

    I really take pride on my students\' achievements and I\'m happy that I was able to influence their path starting by acing their Biology SAT and graduating from prestigious US universities such as MIT, Johns Hopkins and UCLA and Asian universities such as NUS, NTU and HKUST.

    I also do research in plant taxonomy and was able to internationally publish a paper for the discovery of a new plant species in the Philippines and currently works in collaboration for a DNA barcoding study of a certain plant genus.
