I am a 36-year old postgraduate with extensive experience in one-on-one language tutoring and in online group lessons. I hold a Bachelor\\\'s degree in English and American Literature, as well as a Master\\\'s degree in Creative Writing.

I would describe myself as a self-motivated teacher with a deep curiosity for new cultures and languages. My education includes a Bachelor’s degree in English Literature, which has given me a sound knowledge of both linguistics and literature, as well as honing my meticulous and disciplined working style. My Master’s degree focused on exploring the craft of writing under the skilled tutelage of published poets and playwrights. It is my love of words and delight in language that I would like to bring to your classrooms.

Teaching has been an important part of my life since my university days and it is a vocation that I am embracing more fully each day. In 2014 I received my TEFL certificate and since 2018 I have been working as a freelance teacher for both German and English, teaching all levels of proficiency and working with students from diverse social and cultural backgrounds.

During my formative years I was afforded the opportunity to experience vastly different cultures, such as the U.S., the U.K., Germany and South Korea. This has allowed me to develop a deep respect for different cultures and values, and I believe this intercultural knowledge and sensitivity has helped shape me into an empathetic and culturally curious individual who embraces students from all backgrounds and is sensitive to the diverse challenges they might face along their learning journey.

As a new addition to your staff I would pride myself in delivering high-quality lessons to a group of diverse and valued students, as well as taking my time to support individual students to achieve their best. My mission as a role model, confidante, and teacher is to ensure that students feel heard and appreciated and can emerge from each English lesson empowered by their fresh perspectives and new-found writing and speaking abilities. The interpersonal aspect of teaching and the deeply rewarding experience that comes with building community is the central spark that ignites my passion for teaching.
